That would not be recommended. It can't be easily predicted which constituents of each herb would "survive" the process and which constituents may be affected by the constituents of the other plant. In addition, if you make them separately, you can choose whatever ratio of herbs you want to mix. In the end, taking an extra step should allow you more flexibility.

Hi Katie and Joan. I get my essential oils from a lot of different places. I honestly can’t see spending the extra money that Young Living and Do Terra charges for most of my DIY projects. The oils that I get from Mountain Rose Herbs, Aura Cacia and even Essential Depot are just as strong, have been through the same testing for active constituents and are much cheaper. My soap and other body care products turn out fine and are effective. You need to make your own choice based on what you are doing and want to achieve.

You either have to have access to chemical lab equipment (eg. a separating funnel or more distillation equipment) or you need to carefully separate the oil and water by hand. You can try using a turkey baster (not very precise) to suck off the water or try to wick off the water with cotton or paper towels, but, either way, you are very likely to lose some of the oils. Try checking out eBay for less expensive essenciers.

Pour the oil into a container for storage as quickly as possible. Most essential oils can be kept for at least one or two years, but some have very short shelf lives.[8] To maximize the useful life of your oil, keep it in a dark glass bottle or stainless steel container. Use a clean funnel to pour the oil into the container, and make sure the container is clean before pouring the oil into it. Store it in a cool, dark place.[9]
There are many oils that may be applied topically or used aromatically to reduce body aches and pains. One study that displays this essential oil benefit evaluated the efficacy of these oils on neck pain. For the study, the experimental group received a cream that was composed of marjoram, black pepper, lavender and peppermint oils, and the control group used an unscented cream. The creams were applied for 4 weeks, directly to the painful area after bathing. The antispasmodic properties coupled with the anti-inflammatory properties help the essential oils become one of the best remedies for problems with the muscles. Peppermint essential oil is considered to be a muscle relaxant that is used to treat spasms. Also, Cypress and Frankincense essential oils are helpful in reducing inflammation and treating the spasms.
Purchase an essential oil still. Although you’ll likely be hard-pressed to find one in a store (unless you have a specialty store nearby), these stills are easy to buy online. However, beware that they can be expensive — usually around a couple hundred dollars. If you plan on making large quantities of essential oil, a professional still is a good investment.
Dry the plant material. Drying reduces the amount of oil in each plant, but can greatly increase how much essential oil you make per batch. This is because you’ll be able to fit more material into each batch. Drying should be done slowly and away from direct sunlight.[5] Commercially grown plants such as lavender and peppermint may be allowed to dry in the field after cutting for a day or so.
The great thing about these recipes, is that you can experiment and change them based on what you like! So if you start with the recipe, but find you need more, you can add in more! My diffusers are all mid-size and hold between 100-150 ml of water. These recipes are based on that size (most home diffusers are similar in size). You can still use these recipes with yours! If you find you need to add more oil since you’re adding more water, add in a few extra drops of each and see how that does for you.
