You either have to have access to chemical lab equipment (eg. a separating funnel or more distillation equipment) or you need to carefully separate the oil and water by hand. You can try using a turkey baster (not very precise) to suck off the water or try to wick off the water with cotton or paper towels, but, either way, you are very likely to lose some of the oils. Try checking out eBay for less expensive essenciers.
Keep an eye on the still. After a while, the distillate should begin to come through your condenser and into your separator. The process should be fairly hands-off, but you want to make sure you don’t run out of water in your still. Margaret, Here is what I found out: Get some cotton balls and place a few drops of peppermint, eucalyptus, or spearmint oil on some cotton balls and position them where you suspect they are. Mice may appear behind appliances such as a fridge, washer, or dryer. Also place them in areas of a attic or garage. Look for places where mice may be entering the house and place cotton balls there as well. This can deter mice but further measures may be required if the infestation is serious. – See more at: http://www.essentialoilspedia.com/pest-control/#sthash.2UhRgXwC.dpuf
